Our modest adoption fee of $95.00 for cats & kittens & $120 for dogs helps us continue our vaccination, microchip, sterilization, and adoption programs.
With the amazing village of foster families and through our partnership with Petco in Arroyo Grande, we are able to rescue adult cats from Animal Services or accept surrendered cats and place them in these stores for adoption. This unique partnership has significantly reduced the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable cats.

Because of our access to veterinary care and in an effort to rescue and care for under-served cats, we are able to save older cats (ages ranging from 6yrs to 18yrs old) from the shelter. These cats can have dental issues, FIV+ statuses, Cerebellar Hypoplasia, histories of urinary crystals/blocking, needing diagnostics, amputations, enucleations and other specialty surgeries, etc. These special felines would otherwise not be accepted into closed-intake humane societies based on their age alone...not to mention likely having other medical needs. And the amazing thing is....through AINF...they always get adopted.
No matter their age, color or purr-sonality, we've made a promise to these cats and kittens to match them with families who will love them forever. Once our special feline friends are ready for adoption, they will head to one of our Central Coast Petco Store cat-habitats. Some may also remain in foster care until they can be matched with a loving family.
All cats & kittens are spayed/neutered, current on their vaccines, dewormed, current on flea prevention, Felv/FIV tested & microchipped.
FOR KITTENS:
For their mental, physical and long-term behavioral health, we adopt kittens out into pairs or into homes with other cat-friendly cats or dogs who will play with a kitten/young cat. Adoption fee for a single is $95. For a pair is $150.

Many of our local veterinary hospitals offer complimentary first 'adoption/shelter' exams within the first few weeks of the adoption.
With dog foster families in place and available to help, we are able to welcome canine kids into our rescue program.
